BIKES & BALANCING

9/8/18

A few weeks ago, Helen provided the starting image for PFCC. It was 02 bicycle_PNG5393 from pngimg.com. I explored a number of options, some of which are shown here. I should only work on one image per week -- it makes it much easier to choose the one to enter :-)

Balancing act is a motion graphic. Click on the image to see the video. The pub background is from AdobeStock. The bike stands are from PixelSquid. The model was made in Adobe Fuse to roughly resemble me (used in an earlier post about getting a new computer about a year ago), and animated in Photoshop.

Flower Power has pink roses and a field background from AdobeStock. The back bike rack is a portion of a vintage bike from Pixabay.com. The baskets, oleanders and lamp post are from PixelSquid.com. I rendered the tree in Photoshop -- soooo much easier than masking a leafy real tree :-)

The playing cards are primarily built from scratch. I did base the card face on an image from Pixabay.com. I used the bike to make a brush for the back of the cards, and as a design element in the center of the ace. Each card was placed individually on the “table” and then grouped. I used a paper and a grunge texture from OnOne to add an aged feel.
